Minnesota novelist Jon Hassler has died of Parkinson's disease at 74. The Minneapolis Star Tribune said Hassler, the author of more than 15 novels for adults and young adults, died Thursday morning. Among his works are "Staggerford," "Grand Opening" and "The Love Hunter."
Much of Hassler's fiction involves characters struggling with transitions in their lives or searching for a central purpose. We believe that Hassler embarked on a similar pursuit during his life and his disease. We call this a novel approach.
