Scoring Update! The points change, death remains the same...
One of Australia's greatest jockeys, George Moore, has died in Sydney at the age of 84. Moore won a record 119 Group One races during his career, many of them for champion trainer Tommy Smith. He had been in poor health in recent months and was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
Former jockey John Letts says Moore will be remembered as a champion of the Australian turf. "[He was] one of the most competitive jockeys I think I've ever ridden against. He was just known as the best of them all," he said.Congratulations and 24 points awarded to Daddy to be Dead Mates. The Rosters and Standings have been updated.
