Eunice Kennedy Shriver Gets Special Treatment

This isn't Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver's first stint in the hospital. Son Anthony Shriver says she is recovering from pneumonia at University of Miami Hospital.

"She's had challenging health issues for a while now," says Anthony, 42, a Miami Beach resident. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, married to Anthony's sister Maria, said last year during a speech that Eunice had suffered a series of strokes.

Eunice hopes to get out of the hospital Wednesday, Anthony says.
Earlier this month, Congress changed the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. This recognition honored Kennedy's vision and dedication toward working with the disabled during her long career. These days it seems like all she has left is her vision and her dedication.
