Mary Travers' Back is Better Than Ever but Tour Twisted

The folk singing group Peter, Paul and Mary is still touring. Recent surgeries though have left Mary Travers less glee-ful. And the band has had to adjust its tour.

Peter, Paul and Mary, scheduled to perform at the McCallum Theatre April 17, have cancelled their show due to medical reasons. The group cancelled concerts through the summer on Mary Travers' doctor's advice so she can recover from two back surgeries, acording to the group's management. No make up date has been scheduled.Ticket holders may exchange their tickets for another performance or receive a refund by taking them to McCallum Theatre Box Office.
If I had a hammer for every time Travers had an operation, I'd have a lot of hammers.

Could you have picked a worse picture of this wonderful woman and singer???? Someone is using a short focal length lens or is just mean.

And that was certainly not a nice comment about the hammers and surgeries. This beautiful lady has had leukemia and gone through the worst. We should give her our total admiration.

Peter, Paul, and Mary were very much a part of my teenage years in about 1960. Now, I am an old Republican and she would'nt like that at all. Sadly, we all grow old and look a lot less pretty than we were. How can one die gracefully? I give her a great deal of credit for being photographed at this stage in her life. Nothing lasts forever and we must let her go and honor her as best we can. Unlike most of us, she can take some happiness that her name will be remembered long after she is gone. Good luck, Mary, I will see you soon.
