Earl Butz, the former agriculture secretary to Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford died overnight at the age of 98. Butz earned his doctoral degree in agricultural economics from Purdue in 1937. He went on to become the Purdue dean of agricultre from 1957 to 1967, before serving in his government position.
"He was a tireless advocate for agriculture and his efforts helped bring Purdue Agriculture into international prominence," said Randy Woodson, Glenn W.
