One of the main reasons for birthday posts on BDPE is to give recognition to some people's picks that aren't necessarily in the news all that often. Therefore, we thought it best to spread out Ernie Harwell's birthday post from his "Alive and Loving It" post. What's that? We didn't do that for Paul Newman? Ummm well, oh hell.
