Mmmm. That Sounds Good. I'll Have That.

It may be close to 70 degrees today in New York, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be worried about the flu. Moral of the story, and of every story really, don't live in Canada.

At least there's a vaccine for the flu. Lou Gehrig's Disease? Well that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. Speaking of which...

Today is somebody's birthday! Whose Birthday? British Theoretical Physicist Stephen Hawking's Birthday. How Old Is He? 1,2,3,4... 66! And Never been Kissed By... Death

Stephen Hawkings's name appears on "Deep Sleepers'" and "Go to Hell's" rosters

  • The computer system attached to his wheelchair is operated by Hawking via an infra-red 'blink switch' clipped onto his glasses. By scrunching his right cheek up, he is able to talk, compose speeches and research papers, browse the World Wide Web, and write e-mails. The system also uses radio transmission to provide control over doors in his home and office.
Imagine if he had dimples...

Today is somebody else's birthday! Whose Birthday? comedian Soupy Sales' Birthday. How Old Is He? 1,2,3,4... 82! And Never been Kissed By... Death

Soupy Sales's name appears on "Deep Sleepers'" and "Extended Weekend at Bernie's'" rosters

  • In the film Juno, Soupy is referenced during the scene (SPOILER ALERT!!) where Juno confronts Bleeker about taking another girl to prom. Juno had earlier suggested he go out with her, but he said he didn't like her because she smelled like soup. Later, when Juno realizes she loves him, she calls his date Soupy Sales.
Maybe he'll be able to cash in on the Juno hype and finagle an Oscar nod for his role. Let's be honest, good ol' Soupy was on screen almost as long as Beatrice Straight in Network.

... And Many More!
