John Stewart Dies. Kingston Trio More of a Duo.

John Stewart, who replaced Dave Guard, in 1961 to keep the Kingston Trio, well... trio'd, died in San Diego at the age of 68. Stewart, along with Bob Shane and Nick Reynolds made up the Trio who recorded such hits as "Tom Dooley" and "Scotch and Soda." Stewart also composed the Monkees' "Daydream Believer."

"The world has lost one of its best men, but a man who lived well and made many people happy with his love, his wit and his music," the official Web site announcement said.
Please reread that announcement again. It looks like it was written by George Bush. That's it for Stewart. He's going to throw it over to Steven Colbert.
